Frank Miraglia American modernist silver drop earrings with screw back fittings

These unusual American modernist silver drop earrings are by Frank Miraglia who was working in New York in the middle of the 20th century.

Each top is diamond shaped and partially oxidised and has a screw back fitting attached to the rear.

Suspended from the top is an abstract shaped silver drop with an openwork centre with woven silver wires that thread through the inner raised frame and terminate in round finials.
The drops are partially oxidised.

The back of each drop is stamped "F Miraglia N.Y. Sterling".
